Brenda Harris was raised in a small North Carolina farming community.  At 31, she began painting as a hobby.  Shortly afterwards, she began sharing what she has learned with a few friends.  They were having so much fun that every week someone brought a new friend to class.  The number of students and classes grew rapidly.  Brenda's enthusiasm and easy-to-master techniques proved to be a winner!

Since 1987 she has been teaching thousands of students each week via public education television nationwide.  In conjunction with each of her television series, Brenda has authored instruction books by the same titles.  Her books are considered, by many, to be the most comprehensive how-to books available to date.  They guide you step-by-step through the paintings on a variety of subjects.
